Our Concept

We offer engaging lessons in comfortably heated pools, focusing on safety through our innovative methodology. Our bilingual swim coaches are fluent in at least two languages, including English, French, Italian, German and Russian. This ensures that your child understands instructions in any language they prefer. Enjoy flexibility with make-up sessions and track progress through our custom skill tracker. 

Our approach is tried, tested and designed with perfection in mind! Unlike any other swim school in Switzerland, we offer:

Safety First

Through our method, our students will learn to feel confident and empowered in the water, whilst ensuring they know how to keep themselves safe at all times. When your child is ready to swim independently, we first ensure they know how to stay safe in the water. By firstly learning to tread water, stay buoyant and how to spot potentially hazardous situations and prevent them from escalating. 

Learn with Luna

Luna, our swim mascot brings a friendly and relatable character to the Aqua Swim learning experience for babies and toddlers. Learning through play is a core part of our teaching method in these age groups, and we regularly feature Luna and her aquatic friends across our younger children's offering.

Why Learn to Swim with us?

Learning to swim should be a fun and rewarding experience. The World Health Organisation’s (WHO) Global Report on Drowning (2014) stated that “every hour of every day more than 40 children lose their lives to drowning.” Sadly, the situation affects children under five years of age disproportionately. 

Our mission at Aqua Swim is to fight these statistics using survival-based methods that we have tried, tested and perfected.

Aqua Swim Team

The Aqua Swim Academy Team have over 30 years of combined experience in teaching swimming to both children and adults. Our friendly and encouraging Team, consisting of Master Swim Instructors, Lifeguards and Operations & Management are proud to take nervous swimmers right through to becoming confident water warriors!

Meet Oliver, the heart behind Aqua Swim Academy! Born and raised in Lausanne, Oliver is a father of two boys and a keen swimmer and pro scuba diver.

Oliver created Aqua Swim after experiencing the greatest fear of almost losing his son to drowning during an over crowded swim class.

You Think It’ll Never Happen to You.

Since this horrific experience, Oliver partnered with industry experts to launch Switzerland's first stroke survival focused swim school.
